Reiki is a gentle and natural energy healing treatment which can be used to target specific health concerns or as a relaxation technique to promote general wellbeing. Reiki is said to open the body’s energy channels to accelerate physical and emotional healing.  “Rei” (Universal) “ki” (life force) is an ancient treatment modality originating in Japan and other areas of Asia.

Reiki is non-invasive and is practiced by lightly placing hands on the recipient, or by hovering hands over specific energy points in the body.  During treatments, Reiki recipients are fully clothed and typically lie down.  Some may experience a sense of release or renewal during treatment, while others feel a deep state of calm, positivity, and relaxation.  When Universal Source energy is at work, it knows where to go to bring healing.

Reiki healing energy can also be administered remotely.  When receiving distance Reiki, the recipient is not physically present but rather at home.  The practitioner will consult with the recipient beforehand via email or telephone.
